Pain in the wrist

Pain in the wrist can be caused by several things. Sprains, fractures or inflammation are common causes, but diseases such as osteoarthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome can also cause pain. Wrist pain can occur in connection with movements such as twisting or bending, but also when resting. In many cases, it is overexertion or wear and tear that causes problems. The risk increases in connection with activities where the wrist is exposed to strong shocks, repeated movements or heavy lifting. Repetitive and unilateral wrist movements at work can also lead to discomfort. Read more about various wrist problems and aids under Wrist braces.
