Description 

Stadig is a stable ankle orthosis to be used in case of acute injury or prolonged instability in the ankle joint. The orthosis can also be used for prevention. The soft padding conforms to the ankle’s contour and provides good comfort and support. The slats are universal and fit both the right and left foot. Stable velcro strap fixes the orthosis in a correct position. For optimal function, the orthosis should be used in conjunction with laces, for example a walking shoes/gym shoes.

Indications

Severe and moderate acute ankle sprains (functional and post-operative treatment), stable malleolar fracture, after care for fractures in the rehabilitative phase.

Contraindications

None known.

Materials and care instructions

Nylon, Polyester, PU Foam, Fibreglass. Washing Instructions: Remove the foam padding and the closure straps from the splint. Close the hook of the straps. Hand-wash the straps and foam in lukewarm water (max 35°C) using a mild soap. Rinse with water and allow it to dry at room temperature. Clean the plastic shells with a damp cloth. Be sure that the materials are thoroughly dry before re-applying.
