AirFoam is a stable ankle orthosis to be used in case of acute injury or prolonged instability in the ankle joint. The orthosis can also be used for prevention. For optimal support and compression, the padding consists of a combination of air and foam that conforms to the ankle’s contour. The amount of air can be adjusted according to the patient’s needs, which is especially suitable for swelling.
The slats are universal and fit both the right and left foot. Stable velcro strap fixes the orthosis in a correct position. For optimal function, the orthosis should be used in conjunction with laces, for example a walking shoes/gym shoes.
Severe and moderate acute ankle sprains (functional and post-operative treatment), stable malleolar fracture, after care for fractures in the rehabilitative phase.
