Description

Stable and comfortable full arm orthosis designed to be used in rehabilitation and/or treatment of fractures according to the Samiento principle. The orthosis is comfortable to wear, the wide straps together with cast molded plastic shells and included tiles (Y) provides an effective and even compression. The tiles can be taken out if necessary. The cast molded plastic shells forming a cylindrical shape (X), provides cirkular compression och may easily be taken out and adjusted/cut to the desired fit. The product is constructed to fit both the left and right arm. 

CubitiComfort eases pain through fixation, while still allowing mobility of the shoulder and elbow, which reduces the risk of stiffness and muscular atrophy during treatment. The product can easily be customized. The mobility of the elbow joint can be adjusted through extension/inflexion in 15° intervals. Can be fixated in the desired angle. The length of the orthosis can be adjusted to the desired fit. The orthosis can be adjusted with only one tool, included with the product.

Indications

Orthosis for diaphyseal humeral shaft fracture. 

Contraindications

Massive soft tissue damage, poor compliance alternative. Unacceptable fracture position.

Materials and care instructions

Polyamide 36%, Polyester 44%, Elastane 10%, Cotton 2% , Polypropylene 7%, Polyethylene 1%. Latex free. Hinge: 100% Aluminum. Washing Instructions: Machine wash at 40°C (104ºF). Remove the hinge and tiles. Seal the Velcros. Use washing bag. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not iron.Do not tumble dry.

Circumference around the upper and lower arm. The total length of the orthosis can be adjusted to the desired fit. 

Accessories

- Additional tiles, art.no. 20221: To be ordered separately. 4 pcs./pack., size S – XL. May be used to attain stronger compression and stability or for treatment of patients with wider cir-cumference of the upper arm. 1, or alternatively, 2 tiles to be placed in each of the side pockets.

-Axilla Kit HC, art.no. 20219: To be ordered separately, if necessary for individual adaptation or when needed to replace the inner part for hygiene/washing.
