Description

The shoulder immobilizer SmartCuff secures the arm and shoulder after trauma or surgery in order to completely prevent unwanted movement. Secures the arm and shoulder effectively with inelastic band around the upper arm and forearm that is attached to the torso strap. Band over shoulder secures forearm. During movement training, the wrist cuff can be opened separately to free the arm without changing the fixed position of the upper arm while the elbow joint is offered freedom of movement. Easy for the patient to put on and take off. Extra wedge pad included if increased support/abduction of the arm is desired. Fits both right and left arm. SmartCuff is available in black. Shoulder strap can be adjusted individually by shortening the length of the shoulder strap.

Indications

To secure shoulder/arm. In case of trauma, emergency or postoperative care. 

Contraindications

For patients with sinus carotid sensitivity avoid pressure from the orthosis in the carotid sinus area.

Materials and care instructions

67% Polyamide, 12% Polyurethane, 21% Polyester. Latex free. Washing instructions: Machine wash at 40ºC. Seal the Velcros. Use a laundry bag. Do not tumble dry. Do not use bleach, chlorine bleach or fabric softener as this could impair the function of the material.
