Description
HemiSafe is a functional shoulder orthosis specifically designed for use when in subluxation or shoulder pain after stroke. HemiSafe provides a comfortable and stabilizing support for the shoulder and allows the user to a more freely move of the arm during daily activities. HemiSafe is possible to take on and off with one hand and can be used directly on the skin or on top of a linen/underarm without sleeves. The design allows the orthosis to be worn under the clothes. The air gap in the textile contributes to equalize the pressure. As an optional accessory (when desired), a small cushion can be applied under the armpit to reach increased abduction. Indications
Shoulder joint orthosis after stroke to limit subluxation of the shoulder joint.
Contraindications
Use caution in case of reduced sensation.
Materials and care instructions
62% Polyester 36%, Polyamide, 2% Elastane. Latex free. Washing instructions: Machine wash at 40°C. Seal the Velcros. Use washing bag. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Do not tumble dry.
Size guide and measuring
Circumference measurement in cm around the upper arm and around the chest. The measurement around the upper arm is to be taken where the upper arm is the largest, chest size measurements is to be taken just below the armpit.
