Description

Stable combined thumb and wrist orthosis that is easy to put on. Closes with three velcro straps that provide stability around the wrist and even compression. Two removable radial thumb stays are included. The orthosis has a pre-bent, malleable and removable volar aluminum rail and two dorosal plastic rails for extra stability. The thumb grip is adjustable.

Indications

• Thumb ligament injuries (sprains) 

• Acute or chronic inflammation of the wrist or metacarpal bones (rhizarthosis) 

• Tendonitis and tenosynovitis in the thumb and wrist, and post-operative immobilisation 

• Secondary care after fracture treatment at the thumb or basis of the thumb 

Contraindications

• Severe sprains 

• Immediate treatment following fractures 

Materials and care instructions

Nylon, Polyester, Cotton, Spandex, Aluminum. Latex free. Washing instructions: Machine wash at 40ºC (106ºF). Use a laundry bag. Dry flat. Seal the velcros and remove the stays before washing. Do not use bleach, chlorine bleach or fabric softener as this could impair the function of the material. Do not dry clean. Do not iron. Do not tumble dry.
